After Captain Hook's death, the Lost Boys decide to go back to England to live with Wendy. Peter and Tink return to Neverland alone. Things can never stay calm forever though. Peter had left Hook's ship rot, but it didn't. It's under someone else's command now. And they could be even more dangerous.
Prologue- What happened in the beginningThe young man knelt as his beloved's side as she spoke her final words. They were not the usual "I love you." They were a name. Just 2 simple words that would change the man's life forever. Peter Pan. And with that, the woman closed her eyes for the last time. The man's dark hair fell limply over his pale blue eyes. His beautiful Matilda was gone.
I'm so sorry, Captain. Said a man at his shoulder.
Where is my child? Gasped the man.
She's right here, Captain. Said the man, handing the Captain the little baby.
She? It was indeed a baby girl. For a moment, the Captain thought of calling the girl Matilda, but he would grow to loath her for she would bring back memories of his lost love.
Annette Kristine Hook. He said with finality, handing the baby back. Her room shall be bellow deck and that's where she'll live. Forever. His voice was harsh and cruel. She assigned 3 men to take care of her. Gaston, Terry, and Bill. All three were French.
As time went by, Annette grew more and more beautiful and like her mother. The only difference was the color of her hair. It was a dark brown, almost black and it floated down her back in wavy lengths.
Tell me again what happened to my father. She asked Gaston in her pretty, French accent. She had never heard someone speak without one so she didn't know she had an accent.
Well, the boy had just caused your mother to fall overboard and your father was enraged. He swung his sword at the boy but missed. He was the second best swordsman in the world. The best was that boy. He wasn't ordinary though, oh no. He could fly. He could soar about like a bird and nothing could stop him. Gaston replied in a hushed voice.
What was his name Gaston? Annette asked eagerly. Gaston had always refused to tell her. She asked every time and he would just say she would know when she was ready.
Are you sure you want to know, little princess? Gaston asked using her pet name.
Yes yes! I am quite sure!
Then I will tell you. His name was-Yes? His name was?
Peter Pan! Gaston spoke as if it were the most terrifying thing in the world. He watched Annette shudder. Her purple eyes gleaned with a strange and frightening intensity.
Time for you to sleep now, little Annette. Gaston said kindly. He treated the little girl like his own daughter. She knew that she became Captain when Hook died. She had also been told that before the Captain was James Hook, he was James Newdale. However, Newdale wasn't frightening. When Peter Pan had removed his hand as a child and it had to be replaced with a hook, he had decided to be Hook when he grew up. The truth was that he had always been Captain Hook and the loss of hand was from the same time his wife was killed.
Gaston climbed out of the hold and joined the fight on deck. He saw the last of Hook being swallowed by the crocodile. He shook his head sadly. All the pirates were forced to row to shore by Pan. The Lost boys didn't check the hold. Annette lay sleeping. She would not know about the loss of everything until she awoke in the morning and found the ship in a musty bay.
