I OWN NOTHING
"A Poem For A Swan"
Emma, sweet Emma,
Where do I begin?
Born amidst a Dark Curse,
You were fated to win The Black Fairy's Battle Which now draws near.
So believe with all your heart That your loved ones are near.
"I'm your son," said the little boy Who led you down this road Toward finding your family,
A calling that was foretold.
You forgave the man who left you Alone behind a cell.
Had not all of that happened,
You would not be here to tell The stories of your adventures,
The battles you have won,
A tale of forgiveness, bravery, and love That began with meeting your son.
You tamed the rage within a Queen,
Befriended a vengeful giant,
Outsmarted the Pan,
Stopped a Wicked Witch's plan,
And wooed a dashing pirate.
You thawed a Snow Queen's heart of ice,
Stood up to Queens so Dark.
Yet even as Darkness overtook you as well,
You refused to fall far.
You ventured to the Underworld To save your one true love.
Now, you wear his wedding ring as happy songs are sung.
Emma, sweet Emma,
This is not goodbye.
For you have lived adventurously Through a tale new to this time.
Fly away, sweet Emma,
You're destined to go far.
And know however far you travel,
You'll not be far from our hearts.
Because Jennifer Morrison has made decision to leave OUAT at the end of season 6, I decided to write this poem for her character because I've been rooting for Emma since I started watching the show in 2012. Yes, I admit I was a year behind, but I watched the whole first season right before the second one came out. Better late than never, right? I'll miss seeing Jennifer in Storybrooke, but she has agreed to come back for one episode if ABC greenlights a seventh season.
I hope you all enjoyed this poem. You rock Jennifer! God bless you! 3
Happy Reading,
Bella D.
