The stars faded and the moon didn't shine at all. It was a depressing week for Jack. It was almost the anniversary of.. you guessed it, Ann's death. She died of a deadly virus going around. Jack and Ann had some sort of relationship. Spring 1st was her death's annivarsary, and Jack didn't like it at all. All he thought of was Ann, things racing through his mind was about Ann.

Jack barely left his house. Only for groceries. He never tended his animals. He was too busy thinking about Ann's death. Just seeing her die made him sick and worried. One Winter day, when Ann's death annivarsary was nearing, Jack picked himself up and headed to the bakery for a cup of coffee and perhaps cake. That would cheer him up. Hopefully. He hadn't been happy for a while.. because of Ann's death and all.

"Hello, Jack," she greeted. Elli-such a kind girl and great personality, even if she can't control eating so much. Elli had a crush on Jack but Jack had nothing for Elli. That hurts you know—liking somebody but they like somebody else, or they don't have feelings for you. "What would you like today?" Her voice seemed so calm.
"Just bring me some coffee and a glazed doughnut, if you please.." asked Jack. Doughnuts? Ann loved doughnuts! Jack sighed. He had a sore throat but didn't even thought to cure it. Elli came back with a glazed doughnut and coffee on a tray. Elli sat down with him.
"Jack, you're depressed about Ann, aren't you? The annivarsary of her death is coming on Sunday," said Elli. Jack's pale stressed-out face turned towards Elli. She smiled. Jack frowned.
"I loved Ann more than anything.. I was going to propose, but I guess things just.. backfire." Jack sipped his coffee and bit his doughnut. He reached for his pocket to get some money but noticed he had only a couple of hundreds because he hadn't worked in a while.
"It's on the house.." Elli said. Jack nodded and walked out. "Poor Jack. I wish I could do something for him. I wish.. he had feelings for.. me. I wish the moon would shine brighter and bring him much fortune. I wish... him good luck."

On Spring 1st, Jack didn't go to the New Year's festival. He made a beautiful bouquet of Blue Mist Flowers and set them on Ann's grave. Her grave read:
Daughter of the Green Ranch's owner, sister of Gray. Jack's lover. They were meant forever and loved eternally.
Summer 14 - Spring 1st, 17 Years Old
He also planted some Pink Cat Mints. "I love you Ann. Wherever you are, I hope you hear me. I know you love me too. I wish we could be together." He looked at the cloudless, Spring sky. The stars were glowing. Was it a message from Ann.. that she was replying to Jack?
Fireworks exploded in the sky. Orange and red fireworks. Yellow and blue sparks. Those colors reminded Jack of Ann. He wasn't sad. He was happy. Yes. Happy. Elli started to run up to Jack—it was too late!
No less did we know that Jack's soul turned to the sky, to reunite with Ann. And stay with her.
Forever.
