Akane sat on the roof of the dojo that she was someday destined to inherit. The setting sun lit the sky with its different colors and a cool breeze swept over the rooftops.
"I'll get you old man!", came a cry from the Tendo yard.

Akane turned around in time to see a figure being flung into her family Koi Pond.
"HA!" Ranma yelled.
"Growf!" The once human, now panda Genma climbed out of the Koi Pond and began to chase around the pig-tailed boy.
Once Ranma had "taken care" of his father, he glanced up to the rooftop, where Akane was watching from, an amused smile on her face.
The fading sunlight mingled with the growing shadows, and Ranma smiled at her.
Akane felt a warmth growing in her face, and she quickly turned away, for fear that Ranma would see her blush.
Just then a country song popped into her head, and she started singing the first words very softly.
