Chapter 1

Lucina

I sat in a chair in the barracks, feet crossed on the table. Ever since the fallen dragon Grima's demise, something's been awry. I don't know what it is, but something's amiss. "Y'know feet on the table isn't proper." I heard off to the side. I flinched as I turned to the voice.
"Oh, it's just you, dad." My dad's name is Chrom. After Grima's demise, dad's been melancholy, not as energetic. "Do you ever feel something's amiss, even though everything seems fine?"
"All the time." Dad's response lightened me a bit, but not enough. "Why do you ask, Lucina?"
"I don't know," I replied, "Just felt that inside of me. I know Grima's dead, but I don't feel everything is secure."
Dad nodded, "I know how you feel." He said, "If you're that unaware, just go train, or walk it off." Dad handed me my Falchion.
I nodded, taking my sword and rising from my seat, "Thank you, father." I smiled before I left.

I started walking around the perimeter of the camp. Thoughts arose to my head. I held my head as I walked. It felt as my brain worked a mile an hour. Just about a halfway around the perimeter, a blue figure fell from the sky. "Woah!" I jumped back, "What is that!?"

The figure looked at me. It had a wolf's face, what looked like a thief's mask, and a black strip across the top of his head. "Sir Aaron?" It said without even moving its mouth. It sounds male.
"Pardon me?" I looked at it.
"You are not my master?"
"What are you?" He arose. It looks like it has a pale-tan shirt with a spike, white spikes on his hands, which are black, and black dog-like hind legs.
"I am Lucario. And you are?" Lucario greeted.
After looking at the 'Lucario', I slightly shook my head and responded, "I'm Lucina."
Lucario nodded, "Similar name..." He examined me, "...Similar style." Lucario passed me.
"WAIT!" I called.
Lucario turned back to me, "Hmm?"
"Where are you going?" I asked, "Surely you are not a nomad?"
Lucario closed his eyes and looked down.
"You can stay with us all you need." I offered. Lucario looked back at me and smiled. I smiled back, "Then come with me." I continued to walk the perimeter, suddenly forgetting all that was on my mind.

I checked on everyone in camp before heading back to my barracks. Lucario followed me in. "These are the barracks," I whispered to Lucario.
"Aren't these usually separated by opposite sex? Like, males in one room, females in the other?" Lucario whispered back.
"Not this one," I told him. "It's weird, but that's how it works." He seemed to shrug it off, not that it seemed problematic in the first place. I showed him to an empty space in the barracks. Lucario nodded and settled in. "Good-night, Madam Lucina." Lucario whispered as he drifted off into sleep.
"Good-night Lucario." I walked away to my own barrack./pre
