Their enemy shall be too tough.
But
years later a new force shall form
Their
forces as great as the first one.The
legacy of the old six shall not be worn
Their
enemies will fall with the force of a ton.
My name is Jack. You probably already know the drill. Jack no last name. Jack no address. Well guess what. It's not because I'm scared to tell you my last name or address. Its because I don't have them.
My Yeerk does. Or more acurately, the Yeerk that I belong to does.
Iniss 734 of the Hett Simplat pool was swimming in the Yeerk Pool at the moment. I walked over to the cell computer and turned it on. Most people don't even care about the computers. They don't care about anything. I still do.
I began surfing the web. I went to an old website called Google. It was one of the few that hadn't been altered much by the Yeerks.
I did a web search for "Legacy." An interseting looking hyperlink came back. I clicked it.
I read the two paragraphs of poetry and then checked the date. Doing some mental figuring I realized that it was written about mid summer 20 years ago.
That year meant something to me. I realized that it was the year that the one called "Elfangor" gave the Animorphs the power to morph.
Elfangor! He adopted a human alias of Alan Fangor! The one called Alan was Elfangor! Therefore, "The legacy of the one called Alan" meant the Animorphs.
"The enemy shall be too tough." That was easy. The Animorphs lost.
A new force? More Animorphs?
Someone called "Reese" signed in on an Instant message program. We had long figured out that we were cousins. But exactly what pool he was at, I had no idea. He seemed like the sort of guy who was always ready.
"Hmm…" I said. "Mario's on too."
"Yo! Jack! Hope you haven't been Jeerked too much!"
I gave a heavy sigh. That's Mario for you. Always joking about everything.
"No, but you haven't just been doing so, you are one," I messaged back.
"Jack!" I heard a voice say behind me. I turned around. Cara was there. I had never said it. She had never said it. We didn't have to. We already knew.
"I'm looking forward to talking to Tom today," I said. "I heard he got involved in some pretty high stuff."
"It's studying that stupid Andalite toilet!" she yelled. "They know what it is! It's a toilet! Why do they have to go on and on about it! They have Andalite scientists and…"
Better get some popcorn. When Cara gets like this, she goes on for a while.
"The scientists have far better stuff! What do they care about some antique? They…"
Quite a while.
"What do they care? Jack? Where are you?"
At this point, my head was being dunked in the Yeerk Pool again.
Reese
My name is Reese. I'm sure my cousin Jack has told you about me. We've talked on Zero Space Messaging. I think that's what it used to be called.
We've never met in real life though.
The ones known as the Animorphs fought the Yeerks, years ago. They lost. I wished that they hadn't. There's this guy Jack has mentioned, named Tom, who I'd really like to meet. Mario, not so sure. He sounds annoying. For those of you wondering why Rachel's legacy is a guy, just wait, just wait. You'll know more soon. For those of you too slow to figure it out, Jack is Jake's legacy. Cara is (supposed to be) Cassie's legacy.
