This is just a little ficlet I thought of tonight and typed it up! Tell me what you think!
He had spent his entire life after meeting the spectacular woman he loved planning this moment. Planning out every little detail. Red and pink rose petals covered the floor, while a line about 3 feet wide of white roses made a walkway to the little table set in the center of the room. Her favorite flower, lilies, were hanging from the ceiling, a few vases set on table tops around the room. The room was candle lit only, and the two windows were open, letting a slight breeze flow into the room. The moon cast a little light onto the rose petal floor, leaving a circle of light white inside the window. The candles made the whole room look like a dream, and the gentle classical music playing softly in the background completed the whole set up. Her favorite food was laid in the center of the table, spaghetti and meatballs. For desert, there was a carton of cookie dough fudge mint chip, which he knew was her favorite. He checked over his work one last time as he heard a gentle knock on the door. She was here. Checking his full out tuxedo to make sure nothing was on wrong, he went to the door and opened for his beloved. Amazingly the blood red silk shirt he had on matched her full length dress in color perfectly. Her hair was pulled back, and she had a shawl around her shoulders since the dress had a halter top. She handed the black shawl to him and he carefully placed on the back of her chair as he pulled it out for her to sit down. She sat with grace and watched him carefully, studying every move he made, and always had this loving smile on her face. They didn't say a word while eating, purely because no words had to be said. The smiles, and the staring made no words able to describe to what they wanted to say. He cleared the table and brought out the small carton of her favorite ice cream in front of her. She smiled and opened it, only to see a small enveloped inside. She opened it, and a small black box feel out. Confused, she opened the box, and didn't notice her love get up and kneel down beside her. She saw the ring inside the little box and gasped, as he took her hand in hers. "I have known for a very long time, and I know I was meant to love you. The time we spent apart, were the hardest years of my life. When I had learned that I was human, my only thought was you," he told her with a loving smile. Tears were falling from her eyes freely as she listened to his speech. "Buffy Summers, will you marry me?"
She smiled and nodded her head wildly as she replied through her tears, "Yes, Angel, of course." He didn't waste anytime. He put the ring delicately on her ring finger with her claddagh ring and kissed her gently. Now they were the happiest people in the world.
