Disclaimer: I've said it once, I've said it twice, it is not mine, now hold the lice. Stupid, but it gets the point across.
Confession
--
He thinks I'd have him killed.
He couldn't be more wrong.
The bad I've done
I've done for him.
To this I do confess.
--
Can't he see my tears,
Every time I see him bleed?
They fall softly down my face
Every time I see him rave.
To this I do confess.
--
I love him more than life itself,
But he will never know.
He will never know the grief I feel
For what I have become.
To this I do confess.
--
I am a monster.
I am the devil.
I want to change.
I don't know how.
To this I do confess.
--
One day he'll understand,
I've made him who he is,
For better,
Or for worse.
To this I do confess.
--
He is my son,
My only son.
I couldn't bare
To lose another one.
To this I do confess.
--
He thinks that I don't love him.
He couldn't be more wrong.
The bad I've done
I've done for him.
To this I do confess.
A/N: So should I just stop attempting to not make patterns? I swear, this one was unintentional. I just thought the phrase sounded familiar. I didn't realize what I had done until I reread what I'd written. Pathetic, huh? Anyway, I was watching season 3, episode 8, "Shattered", and I started wondering what Lionel was thinking as he watched Lex in the cell. This is my best guess.
