On the Brink Of Something Beautiful
They had been on the brink of something beautiful. The stuff fairytales were made of. Serena knew she was probably foolish to believe that she could ever really be lucky enough to have someone like Dan really care about her. Yet it had been so real and so true, and she really thought they had a chance.
She shouldn't have let herself believe. She had been taught that if something was too good to be true, it probably was. That was what her relationship with Dan was—too good to be true multiplied by a million.
One mistake had brought them to an end and the beauty of the fall collapsed around her.
They had been right there at the edge of forever, and now it was over. All that was left for her to do now was pick up the pieces and move forward. She kept the hope that there was a fairytale ending I her future. She has to keep that hope so she doesn't become trapped in the romance of her past.
