If I recall I wrote this one after my sister and I had a fight. This story was my way of venting…

'Why do we always hurt the one's we love?' Ed mused to himself as he sat across from his brother Alphonse. The country of Amestris was a blur as the train sped past small villages that gave way to country side with rolling hills and hazy mountains in the distance. Ed sighed deep in thought subconsciously shaking his head.

"Brother is everything alright?" Al asked concerned. He had been staring out the window until he caught his older brother's gaze. Ed's eye's were watery and his bottom lip trembled as if he were going to burst into tears at any given moment. Al turned his head as quickly as the armor would allow him too and had said his brother's name several times before Ed blinked.
"Uh, what did you say Al?" Ed asked his blank expression clearing somewhat but Al could still see his mind racing with thought.
"Are you alright Ed?" He asked again. Ed forced a smile as the image of himself and Al in front of their mother's grave popped into his head causing his smile to falter.

'We're not going to Al. We're going to bring mom back.'

Al had been cautious and tried to talk him out of it on more than once occasion but Ed had persisted. Ed could still here Alphonse's frantic pleading as the creature's from the gate greedily ripped away at his body leaving nothing behind. Now here they were on a train in the middle of the night going to probably another dead end lead when they could be at home in Resembool; loved, healthy, and whole. "Alphonse, you worry too much." Ed said turning his gaze back out the window admiring the sky as the stars shone brightly above them. Al mentally sighed and decided to shrug it off.
