Yugi gave Anzu flowers today.
It was their one month anniversary, and I was with Yug' when he went to the shop and agonized over every flower selected, and how it was arranged, much to the amusement of the clerk.
Anzu's whole face lit up when he shyly offered them to her, and her thank you kiss on his cheek had him blushing to the tips of his ears.
The whole class was 'oohh'ing, and 'ahhh'ing over it, except for one person.
Kaiba.
He just sneered and called it a pathetic display of emotional dribble, and turned his back.
Which is, of course, expected. Seto Kaiba doesn't do emotional displays of affection.
Honda still doesn't completely accept the fact that I'm in a 'relationship' with him. He and all my other friends still wonder why I'm with a cold, emotionless, arrogant, conceited, sadistic, fucked up, jerk off like him.
I tell him it's because of the mindblowin' sex we have which makes him shut up and turn pale. Heh.
It's true that he doesn't do any 'couple-y' stuff. No flowers, expensive gifts, or romantic dinners. No handholding, I love yous, stolen kisses, or pet names. Unless you count mutt, which he still enjoys using. Bastard.
But he'll bring me dessert from my favorite bakery out of the blue.
He'll go watch mindless violent films, or dumbass comedies with me, surrounded by 'loud obnoxious weasels masquerading as humans' in a theatre.
He arranged for Shizuka to visit every month.
He lets me drive his car out, away from Domino, my friends, him, when …certain things just get too much for me and I need space.
When he wakes up before me he'll hold me close for a few seconds before quietly slipping out.
He trusts me enough to fall asleep with me.
And I think, that maybe, I can do without the flowers.
