This drabble was inspired by a screencap that I saw at Marion's gallery. It was an image captured from "Sweet Revenge" and the look on Hutch's face…Thank you Marion for all your hard work.

Mixed Fear

Fear mixed with dread.
He rounded the car. Gun clutched in hand. Heart racing.
Fear mixed with caution.
Slowly. Rapidly. Approached his friend.
Fear mixed with fear.
Needing to touch. Could not touch. Afraid. Alive or dead?
Fear mixed with hope.
Faintly. His friend was breathing.
Fear mixed with guilt.
Did not protect. He will not want me.
Fear mixed with another voice.
Hutch. Stay. Not your fault. I need you.
Fear mixed with the unknown.
His life. Our life. Would never be the same.
Fear mixed with the known.
It is still me and thee.
Fear…no…joy.
Starsky was alive.
