I groaned in annoyance as I was rudely awakened by Nudge poking my face, "Kaaaaat, come on wake up!" I groaned and turned in my bed. Nudge began to poke my cheek until I finally got up. "Come ooonnn!" She whined, still poking me in the cheek
"Ok! Ok! I'm up!" I held up my hands in surrender. She giggled and ran out of my room.
After that I got dressed and put on a green T-shirt, jeans that were ripped at the knees, and my necklace with a swirling emblem. I stretched my arms and headed downstairs, nearly killing myself on the stairs. "Oooww…."
I immediately heard Iggy laugh, "Morning Kat, another day another fall, huh?"
I stand up, rubbing the dark bruise my forehead and shot Iggy a glare, "I'm glaring at you Iggy…"
He rolled his sightless eyes and smirked, "Well, I have to go cook food before Max burns down the kitchen"
"Yeah we definitely don't want that happening!" I laughed, taking Iggy's place on the couch after he had left to cook breakfast. I started brushing my long brown hair with a hairbrush I had brought down from my room.
Max then came down, holding Angels hand, "Morning everyone!" Says a familiar little girl.
Every one said morning and sat down to eat a delicious breakfast when Angel suggest picking strawberries. Everyone agrees on it, since they should be ripe by now. We head off on our mini-journey. Which ended quickly, knowing the strawberry patch was right outside the cabin. I bent down to gather strawberries.
Max was talking about how she was going to make strawberry shortcakes. I giggled at that, "Yea, but you would end up burning down the whole place!"
"I CAN TRY!" she shouted at me across the patch.
I laughed loudly and went back to picking the oh-so delicious fruit when I hear Angel scream. Immediately, my head snaps over in the direction to see Erasers standing over Angel, snarling. I bring out my grey, speckled black wings and ran over to the rest of the flock, getting into immediate battle stance.
Angel attempts to get away from the menacing mutants but one, larger then the others, had grabbed her and stuffed her into a sack. "ANGEL!" Max had screamed and charged at the eraser, with everyone following behind. The scene had reminded me of a movie scene where a war had just begun…
Little did I know, that was the case…
