You Are My Everything

Ace Rayer is copyrighted to Josh (hello, sweetheart). In some strange parallel universe, Lucas is just a bigheaded dope and Ace has become the main love interest, while the rest of the elements stay the same so yes, expect to see Von Reichter. In fact...that's where we start off. BTW, all this stuff happens mainly in a chatroom sponsored by Bravenet. I'll give you the link if you e-mail me for it. Blah. I own nothing. So...On With The Fic!

She was shaking. Perhaps scared, honestly frightened, for the first time in her life. The pain had been almost too much to bear. First the nanoprobes that had threatened to devour her life source from the inside, then the sudden rush of life, such a relief from the torture. Only to be torn apart again. What do I want? he'd said earlier. My dear Cyber...I want to cause you pain. She'd spat at him, refusing to say that she was his ANYTHING.
It had started when a gang member had actually managed to shoot her in the knee. She couldn't escape like that. Thank God for Ace...he'd been there, protected her and healed her. God, was she glad that someone like him existed. Not like...not like Von Reichter, who'd appeared from nowhere, sending a creation to attack Ace.
And she couldn't bear to see that happen, not when she could save him. So she had thrown an offer into the air - she would do anything, if he'd just leave them alone. Her creator wasn't stupid, far from it. And how better to cause her pain...than to force her to show affection for him? She was utterly disgusted with him, furious. And it had shown. He'd asked her to kiss him on the cheek.
Sweet, innocent Cyber that she was, she'd actually asked for Ace's forgiveness before swallowing her horror, her revulsion. But Von Reichter hadn't had any intention of keeping his promises. While the creation continued to torment Ace, it had suddenly released cables from its fingers - trapping her, holding her immobile. And then the pain had really begun.

It was a blur. She dropped to the ground, where she lay in an anguished stupor, gasping for a breath. Her vision was blurred at the edges; she was seeing through a reddish haze. Through the fog, she felt Ace's arms around her shoulder and waist, pulling her up into his lap, leaning her head against his shoulder.
Though it sent a shockwave of fire through her body, she lifted her hand to his neck, leather-clad palms and soft, lithe fingers desperately holding him close. Weak was something she could not be, and yet...yet she was. Weak enough to truly show the extent of her love for Ace. But how could she not? He was her life now, the only thing that mattered.
Cybersix knew very plainly how to describe her relationship with him. she whispered, and he bent closer to catch her words, looking down on her with adoration and sorrow in his eyes. she repeated softly, you are my everything.
