It kills him to know how many humans lust after his wife. Even with their instinctive knowledge to stay away, it can't keep their eyes from roving over her perfect face, perfect neck, perfect breasts.
God, how he hates their gawking. He would kill them all if he could.
Slender fingers curl around his and tug him down the crowded hallway. A path clears before them wherever they move, but the eyes follow. He glares at his prey as they pass, daring any one of them to glance in his direction.
One look would be all the reason he needs.
