DISCLAIMER: I do not own Harry Potter

A/N: A brief insight into the morning that Ron seeks the twins' help in the summer before his second year.

Rescue Mission

"Mum?" asked Ron as he walked into the kitchen. "There hasn't been any post, has there?"

Mrs Weasley looked up from the table where she sat drinking a cup of steaming tea. "No, dear." She hesitated before adding, "I'm sure Harry will write back soon. He might just be having fun with his cousin."

Ron snorted. "Yeah, if by 'fun' you mean, 'getting repeatedly punched in the gut'"

Mrs Weasley frowned at her youngest son. "Don't make assumptions. I'm sure it's not that bad. Now eat some breakfast."

Ron grabbed a couple of slices of toast from the table and marched out of the back door in search of Fred and George. He soon found them behind the broom shed with a box of Dr Filibuster's No Heat, Wet Start Fireworks. As they heard the sound of approach they straightened up, attempting to look innocent, but they didn't fool Ron.

"What are you two doing?" he asked slowly.

"Nothing that concerns you," they replied in unison. Ron decided it was best not to press the matter because he said, "Whatever. Look, I need your help. You know I've asked Harry to stay loads of times?" The twins nodded. "Well, he's not answered a single one of my letters and I'm starting to get worried. He told us what those Muggles are like, so what if they're stopping him from writing back? Either that or Errol's delivering to the wrong address again."

Fred frowned whilst George's mouth fell open. "What are you saying? That you want us to go to Harry's house and kidnap him?" They laughed, but Ron remained serious.

"That's exactly what I'm saying." He crossed his arms, waiting for them to stop.

"But," George wondered, "How are we supposed to get there? He's miles away. Plus we have to get back with all his things. We can't even use magic yet, either."

Ron thought for a moment before saying, "The Knight Bus? I don't know if I've got enough for the ride there, let alone back, though."

Fred opened his mouth to suggest another way, probably brooms, but he was interrupted by a triumphant shout coming from the garage. "Yes! It's finished! Molly, I've finished the car!" Mr Weasley came running out of the garage and rushed in through the back door to the kitchen. Ron turned back to the twins, deciding to ignore his fathers moment of madness, and saw Fred and George wearing identical grins.

Fred turned to his twin and asked, "Are you thinking what I'm thinking, George?"

"Why, Fred, I believe I am!" answered George. They turned to Ron and asked, "Ron, are you thinking what we're thinking?"

"Well, I was thinking I could do with another round of toast, but -"

"So could I actually," interrupted Fred. "Anyway, I think we've found a way to rescue your dear old friend Harry!"
