Disclaimer: I do not own Stargate SG-1 or any of the characters in the show. If I did, Sam and Jack would probably be married by now. :D
A/N: This is just something silly. It is a fan fiction, so everything is possible (right?). Just enjoy and leave a small review telling me what you thought.
School Day
"Alexandra!" Mr. Mattler brought the girl back from her daydreaming about Asgaards and Furlings.
"It's Alex…" Alex muttered for what seemed like the billionth time. Apparently teachers never understood nicknames, no matter how many times you corrected them. Mr. Mattler, like usual, ignored her.
"You should pay attention to this!" he said sternly to the blonde thirteen year old. With a sigh, Alex turned slightly toward the front of the class and the overhead screen to see what Mr. Mattler was referring to. She groaned when she spied a picture of the SGC's Stargate on the screen. She had completely forgotten that this week was 'Stargate week' and they would be learning about the history of the Stargate and the Stargate program.
"But I already know most of that!" Alex complained, knowing that her teacher probably wouldn't listen.
"No, you probably don't." Mr. Mattler stated simply, as though he knew exactly what she was capable of.
"For crying out loud, I'm the daughter of the world's most," Alex paused and rethought the statement. "No, the universe's smartest scientist and one of the greatest generals and leaders the world has ever seen. I think I should know this." Alex had lost count of how many times she had had this argument with her teachers and other classmates. They just didn't seem to understand or care that she was the daughter of two member of the famous SG-1.
"Fine." Mr. Mattler said with a smug smile, crossing his arms. "What is a naqudah generator and how does it work?" He was underestimating Alex's awesome intelligence. Alex sighed again. Taking on the signature 'Sam Carter' tone of voice, she launched into a long speech of 'techno babble' as her father called it. After explaining what a naqudah generator was, how it worked, and how it keyed into the Stargate program, she leaned back in her chair with a smirk. Mr. Mattler blinked a couple of times before clearing his throat and fiddling with his papers.
"Well, you might learn something new from this…" he grumbled, not meeting Alex's eyes. Alex shrugged but turned to face the front anyway, watching as images of her mom, dad, and uncles rolled across the screen. Sometimes it was hard being the daughter of Sam and Jack O'Neill.
