Disclaimer: The plot and the characters are not mine
A/N: Thanks to all those who reviewed. I know it's been a long time since I updated this fic yet I had a lot going on with school and stuff. I kind of thought of deleting this fanfic yet when I reread it again, I think I sort of felt ..um …something…well..kind of… dunno really..
JAMES' POV
I didn't exactly know where I was going. The only thing I knew was that I was here and that I was looking at her. "No, it couldn't possibly be her" I thought. "Especially the eyes." Rose's eyes were of shocking blue yet this girl's...this girl's was….GREEN. I mean, not that I hate the color green. It's just that it would be better if this girl looked like Rose.
I must have looked like a maniac. I mean, I was practically ogling at her. As I examined this girl, I found that she wasn't exactly like Rose. While Rose was always walking straight and gracefully, this girl walked liked she a baggage on her back and while Rose always looked clean, this girl looked like she hasn't bathed in weeks.
"okay, enough with the comparisons! I barely know this girl!" I mentally scolded myself.
"Could it be? Could it be that Rose was not dead after all and just had amnesia and couldn't remember me?"James thought. And as if on cue, the girl snored loudly.
"Nah, this slob couldn't be Rose at all." I thought bitterly.Oh, how naïve of ne to hope that Rose was still alive and how naïve of me to think that she was this…this….girl.
Most importantly, how stupid of me to run off practically flying off my seat just because this girl was halfway to going off the bus.
LILY'S POV
I sold about half of the vegetables today. I know it's not much but what would I expect from selling off vegetables anyway?
But selling vegetables was quite fun because you had all day to examine people. "Like this handsome guy" Lily thought. He was a guy of about 6 feet with messy black hair and flawless skin that really told people that he was rich. I wasn't surprised or even ashamed to think he was handsome, I mean this place is close to a forest and you don't see young, handsome lads on the streets since they all went off to the city.
"I wish I was in the city." I thought but rid myself of this thought. It was selfish to still dream of being a writer when mom was home and sick.
I was quite flattered of him looking at me. It wasn't every day that somebody really looked at me especially somebody who was obviously high-class.
People often looked at me because of my red hair. But that's just about it. The first, last, and only boy I dated was now in London and the last thing I heard, he was going to be married. I wasn't very pretty even if people did tell me I had a nice smile. I was just the cute, immature, childish, or uneducated one to them.
I know I would fall to be one of those who would be called "stupid." Yet, I don't really mind. They don't know that I had a scholarship. They don't know that I came home and became a vendor to help my mother. And I thought that that was the sad part "They don't know and probably wouldn't know since I was just another girl on the street for them.
Nothing more and nothing less.

A/N: sorry, it doesn't have James-Lily interaction yet. Hmm… I was thinking about editing this and not really following the series since it would take me forever to do so. Yet I'd still include all those sweet, giddy , and funny scenes. What do you think?? Please review.
