Seven years old Bellatrix Black was ill, a sore throat, coughing so hard it hurt to breathe and a fever.
She felt' too rotten to play with any of her toys. Her mother wouldn't let Andromeda or Narcissa anywhere near her because she didn't want them to get sick.
The House Elves had been ordered to stay clear of her until she had taken a nap, Bellatrix didn't want to take a nap. She was no longer a baby or toddler.
When she had tried to express that to mother she was greeted with an icy stare and told "Do as you're told young lady."
So reluctantly she went to sleep and dreamt about odd things.
*Dream sequence*
Bellatrix was standing in a middle of a field in her nightie, her feet bare.
The sun was shining, but she felt cold.
Bellatrix tried to take a step to start walking so she could find a way out, but the grass had started to grow over her feet. The grass was strong, no matter how hard Bellatrix tried to move the grass wouldn't budge.
She was beginning to feel angry and frustrated, wanting to move.
"Well it looks like the mighty Miss Bellatrix Black is stuck," a voice said from nowhere, Bellatrix turned her head from side to side and found no one there.
"Who's there?. I demand you show yourself," Bellatrix ordered, crossing her arms across her chest.
There was a silver shimmer then in front of her very eyes Bellatrix's father appeared dressed up as a cat.
"Hey princess, it seems to me you're a stuck, " Cygnus Black unhelpfully commented.
"Daddy why are you talking funny? and why are you dressed like that?," Bellatrix asked, sneering at her father's ridiculous cat costume.
"Questions, always questions with you. Never mind questions, you should be concentrating on figuring a way out to get yourself free," Cygnus said.
"Really, I hadn't thought of that," Bellatrix muttered, sarcasm dripping from her voice.
Then without warning her father vanished and his place stood Bellatrix's mother with Andromeda and Narcissa at her side.
Druella Black looked her normal self and began to pace, "Always in trouble. Never do what you're told," Druella said, her shrill voice piercing Bellatrix's ear.
Andromeda and Narcissa just stood there silent, their faces a strange white colour.
"Mother, I'm scared. What's going on?," Bellatrix asked, as blood began to drip from her sisters eyes.
"Your sisters behave, but you never do a word I tell you," Druella muttered, ignoring her daughter.
Bellatrix felt her breathing becoming faster and dug her nails into her palm.
Then she began to hear "Little Miss time to wake up," and concentrating on the voice Bellatrix began to stir from sleep.
*Dream sequence ended*
When Bellatrix was more awake she saw Blossom the House Elf standing at the edge of her bed, Blossom was Bellatrix's favorite House Elf out of all the ones her family owned.
"Little Miss was tossing and turning something fierce. Blossom was worried about little Miss," Blossom squeaked.
"Can I you get me a glass of water?," Bellatrix asked, her voice croaky from just waking up.
"Course little Miss," Blossom squeaked obediently.
Bellatrix began to sit up and as she did so, swore she would never take a nap in the middle of the day ever again.
