I don't about this one y'all, so feedback would be great ! :)
She had never known,
her heart thumps dully in her chest.
She had never guessed,
her bloods boils through her skin.
She had never fathomed,
her bones ache under the weight.
She had never believed,
her stomach churns with denial.
She had never had a choice,
her soul wails in soundless mourning.
She had never doubted,
her courage whispers softly in comfort.
Because she loves Naruto; and even though he's lost and evil and empty and black to the very core of what used to be his heart, she loves Sasuke. And she could never hurt either of them. But, he has almost killed Naruto and threatened her home and everything she has ever cared about and that she can't forgive. Even as her hand slides through his chest with green fire and unrelenting finality, she does not quake, does not waver, only eases his pain as she takes his life because she is many things but cruel is not one. She simply threads her fingers through his veins and arteries, quiets his heart, and ends his hate as Naruto howls in anguish, begging her to stop.
He screams heartless and traitor and murderer at her while she closes his wounds with the same tenderness she opened Sasuke's. Screeches as they remove the fallen avenger's body from the battlefield, "How could she kill his brother?". And, she's sure she's lost them both forever. Only after the pyre is lit, and her body begins to tremble from what she has done, does his calloused hand slip into her's and he draws her to him, whispering apology and love and absolution. Because, in the end, he would have done the same to protect her.
The ending, eh? Advice would be much appreciated :)
