The red head's frame trembled almost violently; his eyes were wide and his fingers still tracing his abused lips. The blond in front of him watched with an almost bored expression as the red head struggled to recollect himself. After a few moments, the red head finally took his hands away from his mouth and used them to grab the edge of the desk instead.
"I'm not sorry, Gaara." said Naruto impassively. The red head blinked. He looked around his office, his desk, his floors, the wall- anything. But he refused to look at Naruto's face.
"Don't think I won't do it again…" Naruto said slowly. He had his crossed over his chest, his face still red from where Gaara slapped him.
Naruto began to wonder absentmindedly if he had gone too far. He didn't bother comforting the red head who was still in shock. It was foolish of Gaara not to anticipate what had just happened. Naruto noted the books that fell on the floor when he pushed Gaara onto the desk.
He would apologize for that another time.
Gaara made a small sound. I was like the beginning of a sentence- only discontinued.
"G-…"
Naruto raised an eyebrow.
"Get…G-get out.", the red head said finally, his voice contradicting his usually calm and collected demeanor.
"Gaa-"
"GET OUT!"
It was uncharacteristic for Gaara to shout. Naruto's eyes widened slightly, and he put on a small smile. Maybe he shouldn't have forced his hands into Gaara's…
No. That didn't matter anymore. It was simply too much for the Kazekage. Too fast.
Gaara seemed to regain his composure after suddenly shouting at the blond. He slowly stood up straight and walked towards the door. He opened it and stepped aside.
"Leave."
Naruto resisted the urge to chuckle at the expression on Gaara's face. The red head's cheeks were beet red, and his lips were swollen. His hairs were disheveled and out of place while his Kazekage robes hung loosely and lopsided against his shoulders.
Naruto sighed and began walking slowly towards the door. "This was bound to happen sooner or later, you know." He said without looking at the red head. He put his hands in his pockets and let out an exasperated sigh. "All those hints, Gaara….and you still didn't get it…" He ran one hand through his hair and dared to look at the red head.
Gaara had his head deliberately casted down, refusing to meet the playful gaze of the blond. Naruto chuckled. "Sometimes you're just so childish, Gaara."
Gaara's head whipped up to glare hard at the blond. "Naruto, what you did was uncalled for and disg-"
"Oh don't get all riled up over it." Said Naruto rolling his eyes as he walked passed the red head. "It was just a kiss."
Gaara slammed the door behind him.
