Carpe Diem Final

Notice: J. K. Rowling is one of the few authors who has been able to captivate a wide audience with her books about Harry Potter and the amazing world of witchcraft and wizardry. Through this world she has created she has captured the imaginations of not only children, but also adults and young adults all over the world. She has created the world this story takes place in and most of the characters, so you must give her the credit and not me. Any characters mentioned that are not in any of the first, second, third or fourth books are mine. Enjoy the story.

Carpe Diem

There he goes again, not aware that I exist. Again he thinks nothing of another splendid thing he has done, and again he seems not to notice my presence. I think, 'Will he ever notice me? Will he ever care? Will my dreams ever come true?'

Yet another day has passed when I do not seize the day, another opportunity to talk to the famous Harry Potter. I had the chance, I almost did, but lost my strength to try. And ever since I came here, to Hogwarts, I have had many chances, but the phrase carpe diem is simply wasted on me. Maybe one day, I will talk to him though, maybe one day I will. And he will look at me with his amazing green eyes, and I'll know- he cares.

But there's just something about him- it happens every time- that makes me blush when he walks by. Ever since the day he saved me, he has been my hero.

Harry Potter saved me, when he thought I would surely die. I'd been promised I'd be fine and put into a deep sleep, but he hadn't been aware of that. He took me to safety and asked if I was okay. I remember waking up and seeing his outstanding emerald eyes looking down at me. The most important thing was that he cared. And I'll never forget that day.

I have not yet talked to him since and today will be the day. Carpe diem- that's what they always say. There he is, standing right across the room and he's coming this way, I'm gonna say something. I won't panic, I'll try not to blush, I'll just say hi and smile. Here he comes, stay cool, stay cool.

"Hi, Harry." I managed weakly with a smile.

"Oh, hi Gabrielle." He said smiling back at me.

He knows who I am! sigh
