Agnes is now in second grade, Edith in fifth, and Margo in ninth. All have grown taller and their voices have slightly changed. Agnes is 7, Edith is 11, and Margo is 15. Agnes was holding onto her unicorn toy while in her bed. Margo and Edith were sleeping.
"Unicorns, I love them. Unicorns, I love them. Uni-uni-unicorns, I love them. Uni-unicorns, you can pet when if they were really real and they are. So I bought one so I can pet it." sung Agnes.
Margo and Edith awoke to Agnes's singing but Margo went back to sleep while Edith covered her face in her pillow.
The next day, the family was in the kitchen, about to eat breakfast. Gru cooked the girls and himself pancakes. He repeatedly flipped his pancake on the pan, which had Agnes laughing and overjoyed.
"Whoa." said Edith.
That morning, Gru was outside, looking at the girls walking toward him.
"Girls, let's go. Time to see Nadja Applefield and her friends." stated Gru, happily.
The family got into the car and drove to that place. They all got out of the car. They looked up to see Nadja, climbing a tree in a race. Agnes was laughing and overjoyed at the sight of it.
"Whoa." said Edith.
"Ah… I won." sighed Nadja, holding onto her hat.
Gru took the girls back home to get ready for school.
