For a long time, I thought I was plain,
Not only plain, but nerdy as well.
A kind of loneliness nobody else could cure.
Now I'm a wizard, now I know.
And all I wanted was the magic things,
A wizard's kinda life.
And all I needed was a magic wand,
To summon magic light.
I went to King's Cross to get on the train,
But they didn't seem to have it there.
I had to ask a woman talking to her boys.
Turns out her boy is my new best friend.
Like a setup made by some higher ruling life.
And all I wanted was the magic things,
A wizard's kinda life.
If I had never known and lived as a muggle,
Would I be so very depressed?
Would I ever have guessed?
I never thought I'd play too good,
But now I play a new kind of sport.
I fly on a broomstick and I try to catch the snitch.
I was so good, I got a new broom.
And now all the wizarding things are just my everyday, normal life.
When'd I get used to all this craziness?
A celebretie's life.
When all I ever wanted was the magic things,
A wizard's kinda life.
