"Hinata," Hinata jumps at her name, shivers going up her spine, fear making it's way through her body. Oh does she wish he would yell, but he speaks as calm as ever, that's what scares her about her lover.
"Y-yes Gaara?" Hinata asks knowing she's in trouble. She looks up at him, watching as his sea blue eyes inspect her, most likely looking for bodily harm.
"Miss Hina-" One glare and the kid that was just calling her ran, to the arms of a frightened mother. Hinata watches as many other parents pulls them out of harms way. Her eyes drop the shine they had just before, she hates when they run away, her boyfriend isn't a monster like they say he is.
"I-I-it's o-"
"You weren't home," Gaara interrupts, Hinata's head snaps back to him at his words, her boyf riend might not be a monster, but he was very, very protective and slightly possesive, Hinata normally always tells him where she is or goes, but she rarely goes anywhere without him anyway. "I was worried," she can tell he's trying to act like a boyfriend should.
"Oh," a small smile forms on her lips, "I'm sorry Gaara, I-I promised to help w-with the easter hunt," she explains, most her stutter gone. Gaara gets a rare confused look, Hinata has to bite down a giggle at it, Gaara the cold hearted, soul eating bastard, as Neji says, looks so cute when he's clueless.
"Easter?" It's Hinata's turn to get a clueless look, he doesn't know what easter is?? Is he messing with me? The look on his face, and Hinata's knowledge of Gaara plainly states that it is not a joke.
"It's where kids hunt for eggs and y-yummy chocolate bunnies," Hinata exclaims excitingly, Gaara's confusion only grows.
"Rabbit's don't lay eggs," He states matter of factly, Hinata bites her lip.
"But- I-" Hinata cuts herself off, looking at the ground, not knowing what to say, "yo- no, it's- no that's not right."
"It's okay," Hinata looks up at Gaara, he has his usual stoicness, but Hinata can tell by the good aura radiating off him that he's enjoying her lack for explanation. "Let's go, I'll buy you a 'yummy chocolate bunny'" he quotes her words.
Hinata looks around, the park once full of kids and joyious family, laughing and talking is now abandoned.
"I-If y-you insist," A blush comes to Hinata as Gaara grabs her hand, leading her away. "Gaara, happy E-Easter," Hinata stands on her tippy toes to give him a kiss. A true happy smile spreads on the redheads lips.
"I think I like this holiday."
