Kissed By An Angel

I looked up, seeing nothing but a blanket of dark like always. But I could see her color. She was a light, fuzzled up brown. She was confused and out of place in the world. And yet she was so put together, and bright. A fire seemed to burn in the center of her color. She was strong, and there was no doubt about it.
I sighed and angled my head to get a better picture of her in my mind. It was always the same. Roughed up, beaten, bruised, beautiful. I angrily ran my fingers through my hair. Her heart belonged to Fang. And I knew without having to see that there was no competition between he and I. That stung.
She moved to walk over and sit by me. My back instantly straightened, and my mouth got dry just at how close she was to me. My arms tingled as she brushed past me.
Her head fell gently on my shoulder. "I'm tired." She mumbled.
I smiled and patted her head as if she was a dog. "Then sleep."
"Can I sleep here?"
I nodded my head, and I could feel her snuggle closer, wrapping her arms around my waist. "I love you, bro." She said.
My heart fell and dropped. Why did she have to add the 'bro' to the end? I would have been happy with just an 'I love you.'
But her closeness made me forget it all. I looked at her lips, partly open and oh so kissable. Then her cheeks, slightly rosy from flying so high and constant embarrassment caused by the flock. Her wings, long and graceful.
My breath hitched, and without thinking I bent down and forced my lips to hers. The most surprising thing, she kissed me back. She straightened herself up and angled her head to deepen the kiss.
I wrapped my hands around her waist and pulled her onto my lap. If felt like I was being kissed by an angel.
When I pulled away, her words were, "Took yah long enough." And then we kissed again…
Kind of stupid, yet sweet. I liked it, and decided to post it. Don't ask questions about where Fang is at or whatever, cause that doesn't matter. They love each other, and that's all that counts!
