Rukia's Strong Dislike -Clemency Lime

Kon smiled scathingly. (As well as any stuffed bear could.) "I'd like to see you try it."

With a growl of indignation Rukia wrested the controler from him and glared down Orihime's pretty pout. "Didn't your brother tell you not to play video games?" Rukia slid onto a cushion.

"Xbox," Orihime corrected thoughtfully, her fingers absently brushing her barrett. "Yes. He used to go to the arcade." Uryu made his appearance as Ichigo began to snicker. Uryu looked worn. "She hasn't challenged anyone else to DDR 2 yet, has she?"

"Nobody's gotten as far as you." Uryu slumped into a chair in agreement.

A light flashed on the screen. "Ready Rukia?" Orihime punched in the start button.

"You've been cheating," Rukia answered stoutly. Orihime contended, "You're a master swordman, this should be easy. Use your skills, and I'll use mine!"

The countdown began, and both girls tensed, watching the screen intently. Around them the motley group of companions leaned in closer with anticipation.

Ding. The match began.

-

"B down, B DOWN! Down, down, down!" Rukia shoved her knee into Kon's overstimulated body and slammed the A button instead.

The screen went black. "K.O.," Ichigo lamented sympathetically.

-

Chad marked the score with his fingers. "13-0."

On the TV, a very disappointed looking character lay strewn in pieces on the ground. A burly man in black stood above them, seemingly preening. "15 out of 30!" Rukia insisted.

-

"It's getting late." A loud snore was emmanating from Ichigo, and Uryu looked hard pressed not to join in.

Kon had slumped against Rukia's offending knee. "C'mon, this isn't fun anymore. Orihime's asleep now anyways, you're creamed even if you're awake," he whined.

Kon hit the wall again.

-

"You'll never win," cackled a small voice near Rukia's ear. "We can take shifts, but you must play on and on…" Rukia blinked rapidly to maintain focus on the screen.

A moan sounded loudly near her feet and someone shifted in their sleep. "This is madness," the exhausted Soul Reaper muttered.

-

"Coffee?" Orihime pranced into Ichigo's crowded room to check on her team's progress, carrying two mugs. She stared in mild surprise at the dead TV screen. "Oh, is she done so soon? I expected another night or so!" She giggled. "Guess she won't be up for any DDR, hum?"

Settling down beside Rukia's prostrate body she pulled the game plug from the box. "Nice job everybody." Orihime spread her arms and nodded to each tiny form in turn as they dwindled into nothingness from the withdrawl of her powers.

Without warning, Orihime felt something tightly clutch her ankle. She yelped and nearly fell backwards. Red-rimmed eyes stared back at her, bloodshot and unfocused like a creature straight out of a fright-night show.

"…Ru-Rukia?" She asked uncertainly. Rukia unclasped her gip on Orihime's leg and moved to snatch the coffee mug.

Taking a long, hearty swig, she pronounced grandly, "cheater."
