I began in Runescape by completing the tutorial which was a bit scary to me only because it felt so long. I was determined to finish it because I wanted to know as much as I could before I began my actual journey. Once that was out of the way, it was time to choose a quest. I wasn't sure which to start with. There were so many, and I feared that I might choose one that would prove to be too difficult for a newbie like myself. I decided on The Cooks Assistant since it seemed like it was pretty easy…no required skills or quests, and all I needed was a bucket and a pot. I had to head off to Lumbridge Castle to start this quest, and I was thrilled to have discovered the Lodestone Network. Up until that point, I had managed to achieve all of my goals by simply walking around. Lumbridge seemed quite a distance away, so teleporting seemed the way to go.
Once in Lumbridge, I headed to the castle to speak with the cook. He was all up in arms because he had to bake a cake for Duke Horatio, but he had forgotten some of the ingredients. I was more than happy to help out. He asked me to get some top-quality milk, extra fine flour, and a super large egg. What I was even happier about was the fact that he was kind enough to mark my map with all of the places that I could find these items! Joy!
Finding the ingredients turned out to be a piece of cake (pun intended)! I gathered them all up and headed back to the castle. I gave everything to the cook, and….success…quest complete! It was easy. It was fun. It gave me some experience…and I did it all without having to do any battles or face any dangers! My kind of quest! I'm sure they won't all be that easy…but only time will tell as I wander off again in search for new Runescape adventures!
