My Maximum Ride chapter.

"Oh, good for a second there I thought I killed you." I said as I saw Dylan flying towards me.

"So did I." Dylan smiled while flying towards the nearest ground. I couldn't help but smile at his comment. I looked away so he wouldn't see the way he affected me, but as always my plans don't work out because not two seconds later I heard him laughing.

"Shut up! I'm not smiling because of you!" Even though I was smiling 'cause of him. I just couldn't help it. I didn't turn around until he stopped laughing, just to see he was trying very hard not to laugh. I looked at the sky so I would start laughing, just in time to see a bald eagle passing by.

"Hey, Dylan look! It's a bald eagle!" I shouted, he looked and smiling at the sight of the rare beauty.

"They're so beautiful, like someone else I know." For the second time I looked away until I could get a handle on myself. For a few minutes we just looked at the eagle.

"Sometimes I wish I could be more like that bird." Dylan looked at me weird.

"Max, if you've forgotten you're 2 percent like that bird." He said in a duh way.

"I know! It's just with everything that's been going on, I wish I didn't have to worry so much, I want to just be free. I don't want to worry about the next time we'll be attacked, or about saving the world, or even about the flock." I said the last part quieter. Dylan just stand there and thought about it for a second.

"But the thing is where would you go?" I thought but not for long, I've wanted to go here since I saw it in a travel store. "Las Vegas."
