The pain America felt when Sandy hit the East Coast was excruciating. The pain burrowed into his left arm it felt as though someone was trying to rip his left arm off. He needed to help his country, so he volunteered to on a rescue mission with the coast guard. He watch sadly as he saw hundreds bodies float by some women holding their children trying save them from the flood. He saw trees, automobiles, whole homes float by. America felt tears roll down his cheeks, then he noticed the American Flag waving with all its glory not far in the distance. Without thinking he shouted to the man next to him while pointing towards it, " Look, Survivors!"

The pilot saw and turned towards the flag that was waving so brightly compared to the light brownish murky waters. The saw a soldier waving the flag with courage, while behind him was a young woman covering two young children next to her under a thick blanket. The pilot got close enough to send down a ladder to the small family on a small roof of their home. the women sent the young boy and girl up first. the young boy helped his sister into the helicopter. America handed the young boy a bottle of water, which the boy gave to his sister. The boy said his sister needed it more, so he gave the boy a bottle of water two.

The woman then came up follow closely by her husband. The woman had dark brown hair which was slightly curly. the father had black hair which was about to the middle of his neck wrapped in a ponytail. he was wearing a navy uniform, while his wife wore a blue blouse with black slacks. the young boy and girl wear twins the girl was about 8 she wore a blue t-shirt and blue jeans she had her dads brown eyes and her moms curly brown hair which was kept back in a ponytail that reached her back. Her brother on the other hand had had his fathers black hair with his mothers hazel eyes his hair was kept like his fathers. He was wearing a black and dark blue striped polo with black cargos.

America gave mother and father a bottle of water each which they thanked him for. The boy and girl curled up in their parents arms and fell asleep. The mother watched her children sleep with fire in her eye to protect her children. That fire America remembered from the Revolutionary War, America had that same look. And with that look America knew everything would turn out alright.
