I sat at the dinner table, passing the food to the right, in the simple grey, rectanglar house. Has anyone ever entered the wrong house before thinking it was theirs? I could understand that becuase all the houses look the same. I almost giggled at the thought but contained the laugh. Peas and other frozen selections were laid out in front of us. Steam rose silently and welcoming from the plate. Once everyone was served I picked up the metallic fork beside me and picked up a pea.
The rest of dinner went by slowly, for my parents didn't adresses me with a question. I left the dinner table and made my way toward my room. Today was like a free day, I didn't have any chores since I needed to think about the faction I would live in for the of my life. Why was life so difficult? I paced around the room, biting my nails. My eletric blue eyes, and rich brown hair was definetly not a character trait of an Abnegation girl. This was like a drop dead gorgeous Abnegation girl that would be punished for selfishly thinking about herself.
I closed my eyes and re-opened them hoping that I would be able to find some satisfaction in the doing. I looked over at my gray bed, which looke very inviting now. I walked over to it, and layed ontop the covers, not even caring for taking of my clothes. Tomorrow was the day that my life will change forever.
"forever is only the beginning"
