There was a reason Hettie requested the both of them in her Special Operations Unit. They shared the quality of being great at becoming other people. Instantly molding to fit the position required of them only to change into another a half a second later. Brilliant.
This is why nobody suspected them of ever having romantic feelings toward one another. Clearly they could fool everyone that neither of them have ever had a drop of loving emotions when underneath they had an ocean. Nate couldn't analyze their deceptively professional looks. Even without his scuba goggles Sam couldn't see their hands resting so close together. Dom couldn't interpret their business like chats. Nobody ever noticed the side long glances, comforting touches, or close whispers because there were in fact none.
A great actor does not need the television to see that they can act because a real one acts in everyday life. They were the epitome of professionalism in every action at the workplace. Never looking at one another too long or touching that was inappropriate.
However, off the clock Kensi and G were loving, affectionate, and comforting. They disliked that they had to hide their exclusive relationship from their friends but a superior/subordinate relationship was off limits.
Late at night sharing warm cups of hot chocolate Kensi laughed at the thought that no one on the team had figured it out. They had no clue, suspicion, or guess that she spent the nights with G Callen. Absolutely had no idea that they went on dates, picnics, and to movies together in a loving fashion.
They only saw the façade that was set up to protect them. It was the reason G moved around so much. It was the reason Kensi only went on one first date. It was to save their careers and relationship from harm.
"I'll see you at the office in 20. Don't fall back asleep or you'll end up doing the walk of shame again."
G laughed while dodging a pillow thrown at his head from her side of the bed. He had no idea how she could possible chuck a pillow at his head from under all his covers. His girlfriend really amazed him sometimes.
