Fionna's P.O.V:
He led me to the garden. The flowers glowed in the moonlight, and the gazebo was lit delicately with white fairy lights, leaving it shrouded in a gentle glow. He led me to it, my aqua ball gown swishing softly along the steps. I breathed in the familiar scent of my favourite flowers. Daffodils. I couldn't see them but they were there. He looked me in the eyes and smiled. I smiled back. He looked nervous but a determined glint showed in his eyes. He knelt down on one knee, grasping my strong left hand with his silky soft pink one. "Fionna," he murmured, his voice low and sweet. He pulled a small velvet box from his pocket, gazing into my eyes with his chartreuse orbs that twinkled in the light. "Will you be my princess?" He asked hopefully, opening the box to reveal a beautiful gold ring encrusted in sugar diamonds. Part of me screamed yes, yet a small voice in my head held me back. I stood there completely silent, completely still. Staring into his eyes full of love and hope. "I… I…" I stuttered out. My eyes grew damp and my heartbeat quickened, but not in a pleasurable way. He was watching me intently, waiting for me to respond. 'This is what you've always wanted Fionna, your own fairy-tale! Say yes!' My mind said. 'No Fionna. You know you don't really want this. Say no,' my heart screamed to be heard over my head. I was conflicted. 'Listen to your heart Fi,' I remember someone important telling me that. It had been only seconds but it felt like hours. I couldn't take it. I ripped my hand from his, shock evident on his face. "I can't Gumball!" I cried, tears sliding silently down my cheeks. "I just can't," I whispered and ran. I didn't matter where I went, as long it was away from those sad, broken eyes. I fled, leaving a stunned prince in my wake.
My eyes snapped open and an annoyed groan escaped my lips. 'Can't I even be happy in my dreams?'
AN: I was thinking of continuing this later maybe. I hope you liked my Fic! :D
