MY CHEMICAL ANIMORPHS ROMANCE book 1# Cassie and Jake

I stood at Cassie's porch, fumbling with the rose I had brought with me. I hoped she liked my suit. That's all I was worried about. Ha. That was nothing compared to the rest of the date. but I'll get to that later. Anyway, there I stood, scared as a kitten in the middle of a dogfight. My first instinct was to ring the doorbell again, but that wouldn't be polite. So I waited for about 2 minutes, which seemed like hours.

Cassie's dad opened the door, finally. He smiled warmly and motioned me to come in. I stepped inside and looked around. I had seen Cassie's house before, so it looked normal. Cassie didn't look normal though! She was wearing a blue, sparkly dress with a white beed necklace. On her wrist was a pretty, golden charm bracelet. Her shoes wear metallic and oh so pretty.

I must of looked pretty foolish, standing there like an idiot and gaping at Cassie. Embarrised, I closed my mouth and gave her the rose. "Jake, this is buetifull," She exclaimed, and I could tell she was going to cry. I smiled and blushed. Her dad cleared his throat. "OK, Jake. Your a responsible boy. I can trust you. Lets get to the rules. I want her back by 10:00 sharp. Got it?" He asked. I nodded my head, and like that, me and Cassie were out of there. First for our date we were going to watch a movie and then catch diner at a local diner, The Cool Katz. I had played the date over and over in my head. I was hoping it would be a sucess. I was wrong.

The movie was horrible. After less than an hour of the torture me and Cassie gathered up our candy and headed out. "We have some time to go to the mall, if you want." I said. Cassie liked the mall, just not the shopping. She seemed pretty enthusiastic about the plan, though. So we headed off. Thats when I saw it. A yeerk, sliming on my cinnamon bun. I wanted to scream, but I knew if I did, controllers would see and suspect I knew what it was. Cassie had the same reaction. She nudged me and I turned my cinnamon bun over to the other side. We went into a "haunted" bathroom and flushed the yeerk.
"Good riddance," I muttered as we watched the yeerk get swallowed in the water's grasp. We laughed and were getting ready to go to the diner when Cassie noticed another yeerk.

" JAKE! LOOK! ANOTHER YEERK!" She screamed, pointing at a gray yeerk. It was oozing up a wall. I needed to get the animorphs, but there were too many controllers around. They could here me talk on the phone. "Let's flush it and hope that it's the last one we see tonight," I said.
