Look at you and then look at me,
Can't you see why we can never be,
I'm to cold and you my love am to warm,
You don't understand anything I'm saying.
I am cold like ice forever freezing and never warm,
My heart is frozen like an icicle in winter.
My walls are built,
I don't want them to crumble,
and you have almost broken them down.
I hide behind a mask everyday,
I'm sorry to say that I'll never change,
It's who I am and I can't change it,
Don't you know old habits die-hard.
You are warm like the fire and the sun that burns forever bright,
Your heart you wear on your sleeve never turning down anyone,
Your so kind and unforgiving you make me feel complete.
But I'm sorry to say that we can never be,
You deserve so much better than what I could ever be.
You just don't understand what you do to me.
Seeing you is to much for me,
I see you and it reminds me what I can never have,
I'm not worth your time.
Stop looking at me like that,
Don't you know that you make me want to start over,
And tear down all the walls.
Tear down the world that I built myself to escape reality.
You make me want to cry and scream for a tourniquet or reprieve,
I can't though I need to keep myself in check never showing my emotions
because,
Emotions are a weakness and people will hurt you more using them against
you.
You and I we'll never be,
Simply because that's the way it's supposed to be.
You deserve someone pure,
A complete opposite of me,
I'll end up bringing you down,
Into this darkness that has become of me,
And that is something that I don't want you to ever see.
So I'll shield you from this darkness a world full of void,
Emptiness and loneliness that makes you believe love is just a game.
You are forbidden for me,
That is why you an I can never be.
