Story Time...
"You don't have to go Rich. You can stay here, with me." A girl of thirteen said. She had long black hair and bronze skin. She was dressed in a pink hoodie and tight fitting jeans. She pulled the boy, Rich closer to her and tried to kiss him.
"I have to go, Allie. I have no say in the matter." Rich said, looking away.
"You pick being a hero over love...I'll never understand you." Allie said capturing Rich's blue eyes.
"It's my job to-" Rich started but Allie silenced him with a kiss.
"-to rid the world of injustice? I know. I've heard that so many times that if I got a nickel every time I heard that I'd be richer than old Bruce Wayne, who, by the way, is standing outside the door, listening." Allie stated with a smirk.
The door opened and Bruce stepped in.
"Well, you can't say you weren't eavesdropping Mr. Bruce, 'cause that would be a lie." Allie said.
"Yes, it would. Alfred is waiting in the car Dick. We'll leave in five minutes. Say your goodbyes. It was nice seeing you Alexandrina." Bruce said gruffly.
"You too Mr. Bruce." Allie said scrunching her nose at her full name.
"Rich, you can go and save the world or you can climb down to the sewers and join the Penguin's league. I wouldn't care. As long as you are true to yourself and you feel its right, go for it. Just remember, I will back you up know matter what and you know where to find me if you ever need me. Alright?" Allie asked smiling her best smile.
Rich placed a kiss on Allie's mouth and a circular disk into her hand. Allie looked down to see a communicator with the "Robin" logo on it. Allie's eyes watered as Rich whispered in her ear, "Not every hero has a mask. You're one of those heroes, Allie. Don't you ever forget that. But if the time comes and you need a Plan B...now you have a way of reaching me. I love you..." and with that he was gone...
Seventeen Year old Alexandrina Cortez pocketed the communicator, the memories along with it, and put her hand in the other pocket. A man across the street had just robbed a jewelry store. Now that wasn't right of him.
Allie walked across the street with a calm demeanor. Both hands pocketed, she crossed the street and punctured the guy's front tires. In the blink of an eye, she had him hand cuffed and dangling from the flag post, which was in front of the jewelry store, by the scruff of his neck. Everything the guy had stolen was in the door way waiting for the shop keeper to find it and the mark that Allie left every time she was at a crime scene. It was an eye in the middle of a compass. The sign of Chaos. Allie also added her own special drawing to the sign. A crown was drawn atop of chaos, to signify it was she, The Queen of Chaos.
