I'm Alice Cullen and this day has got to be the worst day in the history of bad days! First of all I live in Forks, Washington and it's really cold and what do you know rainy. It never stops here! Also at lunch I ran into this really cute guy at school, Mike, who I happen to have a huge crush on and dumped my whole tray of food on me. It was disgusting and he didn't even ask if I was all right he just laughed and walked back to his table. Then the whole day was just horrible.

When I got home after having to walk 4 blocks in the cold down pour I was soaked! I walked inside and my mom was on the phone. "Oh she would just love to come stay with you! Oh, look she just walked in the door. Yes, thank you so much! She will be so trilled," she said into the phone and smiled at me. I couldn't even force one on my face. She said good-bye and hung up. Then turned to me and asked, " How would you like to go stay with your Aunt Esme and cousin Edward?"

My horrible mood was completely forgot. "YES!!!!" My aunt lived in Key West in the Florida Keys! This is going to be the best summer vacation ever! Edward has always been very popular. If I hang out with him I wonder what I'll look like. Maybe I'll finally have a life! That's my goal this summer; to get a life and actually be someone and maybe a boyfriend would be nice. I've never actually had a boyfriend and that probably adds to the theory that I have no life.

"Okay, well I guess were going to have to go shopping and buy some new clothes and a swimsuit…" my mother just kept babbling on. This is what she does when she's thinking but I wasn't listening all I could think of was laying out in the sun on a beautiful beach all day! I hoped I would actually get tan. I had to be the whitest person alive! I bet people actually thought I was a vampire or something.

When we got to the mall it was still pouring and freezing! I can't believe I actually live here. The keys are going to be so much better! We went into a store that I didn't know the name of. There was a ton of summer clothes. Who knew that there would be a store with these kinds of clothes in a town like this? We were there for about 3 hours and we had successfully picked out an amazing summer wardrobe!

I'm leaving today and I started packing like crazy! My room looked so empty because I had practically packed the whole thing. My mom was taking me to the airport because she wanted to say goodbye. When we got there she got all teary eyed.

"I'm just going to miss you so much!" She blubbered and pulled me into a huge hug. "What am I going to do without you?

"I'll miss you too. And I'm sure that you'll be just fine," I replied while being squeezed.

"Okay, you need to get on your plane. You don't want to miss it!"

"I'm not going to miss it. Goodbye Mom," now I hugged her. I'm really going to miss my amazing mother.

"Goodbye, I love you. Have a great time and be good."

"I love you too. And I will!" I started off towards the plane entrance. I was so excited! Only about 7 hours and I'll be soaking up the amazing sun.

On the plane I was too keyed up to sleep so I just thought what I would do the whole summer in the Florida Keys. Maybe I should get a job, but no that wouldn't help the getting a life project. I hope Edward will show me around. I want this to be the Best vacation ever!

The plane landed and I stepped off in to the most brilliant, blinding sun ever!
