Those who have been to Ariant before would probably know the general story—Ariant is this really poor town, where the houses are broken and poor, yet the royalty there live in luxury.
Enjoy this. It rhymes. Don't say I didn't warn you.
/.\ Ariant, of Fire /.\
At the heart of our world,
Our city, our pride
At the heart of the streets
We love and deride
In the land where the spices whirl in the sky
Is the bright brimming spirit
Of joy blazing high
-
Swift dancers flinging
Silk ribbons run
Golden bells brightly ringing
Songs to the sun
Jubilant joy, no
Sweet drugged shame
Let us dance to the beat of
The great desert flame!
-
Look to the zenith and
Walk down the street
Sun-painted cobblestones
Under your feet
-
The kiss of sunlight
Cactus-dew shyness
Spread out, the rust-red
Throat-parching dryness
Bright metal flashes
Duels of thunder
Cloaked in the swells of
Deep scalding heat
-
Oh,
King Abdula and
Queen Areda—
All they bring is
Pain and fury!
-
Heart of our world,
Our city, our pride
Stands a castle with walls
And fountains of light
In the land of the empty
Broken lost sand
How does such an extravagant
Proud castle stand?
-
Silk ribbons running
Bells sing as one
Can you hear them, still ringing
Songs to the sun?
Dancing for freedom
Cries in our name
For our spirit, keep burning—
Long live Ariant's flame!
-
Blaze higher, burn to the sky!
The sky smiles proudly
Our Sand Bandits rising
Overthrow the rulers
A dark deadly game
Our deadly game…
-
A world of danger
Dark, ever burning
A hidden anger
An endless yearning
The rhythm of the
World swiftly turning
A change to come
A glorious flame
-
The thunder, asunder
Here under the skies,
And the bright burning blood red of
Dark vulture cries
In a world of deception
Injustice and lies
Our Ariant, the land of
The fiery sunrise.
Now I will tell you. These are lyrics. Go listen to the music and read it again, one word per note--it really gets a lot better. I mean it, listen with the music. It's meaningless without it.

And you might say that you don't read poetry, but I don't see any excuse, when CrapPishh has written a poem with 11 reviews. So review!
