*creak creak*

Chloe was sat on the sofa downstairs in the Bellas house; only her and Beca occupying the house during spring break. Her recent break up with Jesse had hit the young brunette hard and Chloe was very worried about her. The ginger had started noticing some of Beca's peculiar behaviours, but put it down to heart break. Noises continued penetrating through the floor boards and into the room in which Chloe was pondering about her best friend.

"BECA!" Chloe shouted.

"Yeah," the brunette replied quite out of breath.

"Are you okay up there, there is a lot of noise."

"Yeah fine, sorry."

Chloe resumed to her pondering. The creaking continued.

Chloe's thoughts deepened and her analysis of Beca's odd actions sat heavily on her mind; her worry increased. It wasn't just little things that were happening, Beca wasn't eating properly for a start, she was going out for runs all the time, everything was ordered and she would never sit and talk anymore, Chloe felt like she growing further and further apart from her best friend by the minute, but she had no idea to how to put an end to it, because Beca wouldn't talk to her.

But, Chloe's stubborn personality wasn't going to let some break up ruin her friendship. She headed for the stairs. Each step the ginger took she thought harder and deeper about what she was going to say to the brunette, everything she thought of came across as rude or bitchy. She told herself to calm down and just to be normal; easier said then done. As she approached the door to hers and Beca's room which they shared in the Bellas house, she slowed down and tiptoed across to the door; heavy breathing and that same noise she heard downstairs was coming from behind the door.

Before she started thinking again the ginger pushed open the door to find Anna on the floor doing sit-ups; the noise from the last hour was Beca doing sit-ups.

"Beca?" Chloe asked with a wavering tone to her voice.

The brunette stared.

"Why?" Chloe's voice was quiet and held a sincere tone of concern.

Beca burst into tears on the floor; Chloe sat down in front of her.

"Bec, listen," Chloe begged as she lifted the Brunettes head up and wiped the flow of tears from her eyes.

"Okay," Beca whimpered as she looked into the blue orbs that Chloe owned.

"Please let me help you," Chloe new exactly what was wrong. Chloe knew exactly how ill Beca could get. Chloe knew the consequences of not getting better. But most of all, Chloe knew that Beca couldn't do this on her own. The ginger could see the pain in Beca's eyes so she pulled her in for a hug; the Brunettes left ear resting on Chloe's left shoulder, Beca rhythmically rising in and out as Chloe's chest rises and falls, helping her find just one moment of peace in her manic mind.

"Okay," Beca agreed.

The younger girls muscles loosened as a huge weight from her shoulders lifted. Chloe smiled to herself and pulled the brunette tighter. Beca knew it was the correct answer even if it was hard to admit it.

"You're safe with me," Chloe reassured her as she kissed her brown lochs.
