A/N: So I was struggling to sleep this morning before going in to work. What's on my mind? Of course, the next idea for writing. So it only kept me awake for an extra three hours but this is what I came up with.. And I really like the idea. Let me know what you think.

Letters from Skyrim

Chapter 1

Hawke,

I hope this letter finds you and Broody well. The Seeker still harps on about you guys every now and again. Of course when I say "guys" I really mean Hawke. You have no idea how hard it is to get these letters out without Nightingale finding them.

It looks like you can relax about that whole "hole in the sky" ordeal. There was a survivor. An elf. Her hand glows with this green light that can close the rifts. I was tempted to be offended that she hadn't heard of my works and the money I'm making off your story. But then I have to remember Dalish are big on story telling not reading. Bit daft from what I can see so far. She's not all bad. Has a healthy interest in Bianca. From what I can see she drools over it. Ah the love of the archers huh?

The apostate that follows Seeker around seemed quite taken with her. Insofar as other elves get along with each other. I'm working on a bet with Ruffles that he offers her a passle of herbs or a goat as some romantic gesture. Not big on fun that one. Tried getting Curly to take me up on that one but he seemed somewhat offended by the notion. I suppose you just can't help people have fun when they're determined to be doom and gloom all the time.

Any way, to the meat and potatoes of the matter. Chuckles forced her hand up into the air and the rift we had been fighting at for the last hour closed up. Just poof. No fanfare but you could have heard a pin drop from the soldiers about ready to shit their pants. This kind of power is beyond me Hawke. Almost makes me want to believe in some higher power.

Plans are to go to Redcliffe here soon and talk with a man about a horse. Sorry I couldn't help myself. Too funny to pass up. As always I will keep you up to date on the goings on around here. Hopefully we will get some answers to this mess.
