One Day
One Day, she would ask why Mommy and Daddy where famous.
Because we were Power Rangers, honey. Just like your Uncle and Aunt.
For a few years that would placate her. She would be to young to know the particulars. Or maybe her mother just wouldn't want to explain it all to her.
One Day, however, it would be to much, and she would demand to know why in addition to all of the fan mail Mommy and Daddy got, Mommy also got so much hate mail. Way more then any other ex-rangers she knew.
Because, before I was a Power Ranger, I was a bad person. I did bad things, I tried to destroyed the Earth but the Power Rangers stopped me.
There was more to the story and for several months daughters view of mothers was utterly shattered.
One Day, she would ask how to throw a punch. She knew some of the most talented martial artists on Earth, they should be able to teach her how to fight.
Next time we see Tommy and Jason, you can ask them for help.
She took to it at once, a natural.
One Day, after much begging and pleading and a tantrum or too they would finally give in. She would not only be allowed on the Mega Ship 2.0, but they would be taking a family vacation to KO-35.
And that is where I brought the Power Rangers to there knees, and that is where the tables turned.
On the way home, they were attacked by some villain form Onyx. She was unfazed. She got to see her Aunt, Uncle, and Father, morph and fight for the first time. She and her cousin agreed it was the most amazing thing ever. Even better then the alien world they had just gotten to explore.
One Day, her family would notice that for the twelfth time in a month she was wearing that one yellow blouse Ashley had gotten her for Christmas. The only two other things she had warn over that month were currently in the washing machine, a yellow sundress and a yellow tank top. There had been monster attacks lately. And she had been despairing when ever they showed up.
So, When were you going to tell me that you had become a Power Ranger?
One Day all of that would come to be. But right now Karone watches her daughter sleep, wrapped in a pink blanket form Kendrix and her arm clutching a stuffed yellow wolf form Maya. Over her head, painstakingly drawn and painted by her God Parents was a scene of the stars, complete with six streaks of light racing across it: The Red, Blue, Yellow, Black, Pink, and Silver Space Rangers. Under the stars Karone would whisper to her daughter while the baby slept, telling her the stories of the heroes. Unintentionally inspiring one of the heroes of tomorrow.
A/N- So this is my first power rangers fic, but maybe not my last. When I first started writing fan fiction I dreamed in multiple chapters. Flash Forward 4 years and I find myself with several abandoned early works that will never be finished but that I don't have the heart to take down, despite the horrid writing. I then switched to one shots, and have had more success with them. Why, dear reader who may or may not be reading the authors note, am I telling you this? Because I am thinking about a bit of a power rangers epic. It would involve Karone's daughter who is described here, and several other second generation kids becoming rangers. What do people think of the idea?
And While you are at it, Please review.
