Can You Tell?

This is a poem I made for English.. and with my obsession with Hetalia, this was the outcome. It talks about descents. I actually got a lot of praise from this. I have no idea why I rated it T.

This is a poem I did for school... and with my Hetalia obsession lately, this was the outcome. I also have others.. But I'll post them once I get my paper back from my teacher ^^"

Free Verse. obviously talking about descents and the last 'stanza' is about America because it says 'freedom'

You are of German descent,

Can you not tell?

Just look at your self,

With your light blue eyes.

You are of French descent,

Can you not tell?

Just look at yourself,

With your flowing blonde hair.

You are of Spanish descent,

Can you not tell?

Just listen to yourself,

With the accent people dream of.

You are of Italian descent,

Can you not tell?

Just watch yourself,

With all of the beautiful paintings you create.

You are of English descent,

Can you not tell?

Look at others,

And see how they feel.

You are of Russian descent,

Can you not tell?

Just see how you act,

That's enough to show through.

You are who you are,

Can you not tell?

Just look at your life,

And see the good freedom it is to be different.
