Greetings all. Here is another installment in my Gibby's day out series. I dedicate this story to my late friend Chuck who gave me the idea for this story. This story has some dark humor in it so be warned. As my friend Chuck would say "If you can't stand the heat stay out of the crematorium.

A/N I do not own, operate, or maintain iCarly.

We interrupt this program for a late breaking story. Flight 432 Seattle to Las Vegas has crashed into Mt Rainier. There is no word yet if there are any survivors. Sources report a rescue party has been dispatched. Stay tune for further details. We now return you to your regularly scheduled program already in progress.

Freddie's phone rang " Yes I heard the news Carly. No I got a text from him just before takeoff, nothing since. Just a minute Sam is calling, I will make this a three way call."

After pushing a few buttons on his phone he had both the girls on a conference call .

" Okay here's what I know about twenty minutes after takeoff the plane disappeared from radar. We are getting a signal from the black box and have an approximate location of the plane. I am heading the rescue party and we should be leaving in about fifteen minutes. I will let you know as soon as we find something out. Look I have to go we are loading the chopper. Yes I promise to let you know if we find him... I'm sorry I meant when we find him. Bye."

Sam stayed on the line after Carly hung up.

"Listen Freddork I am heading over to Carly's to see what I can do. Freddie...if he didn't make it call me first."

"I will Sam. I got to go bye."

Freddie (or Lt. Benson as he was known to his men) had been on many rescue missions in his short career with the air force but this was the first time it was personal. He had grown up with Gibby, they had shared a lot of good times (and a few bad times) together. He couldn't begin to imagine life without his best friend.

As the chopper got underway Freddie begin to brief his men.

" It's going to take us about forty five minutes to get to their last reported position. Due to weather conditions we will be let off as close as they can get us, and then we search. Gentlemen I suggest you sit back and get some rest because it might be a while before you get that chance again.

After what seemed like an eternity they were dropped off and begin their search. They slowly ascended up the mountain. Night was rapidly closing in and they would be forced to make camp for the night. After they made camp Freddie sent some of his men out to scout around. About twenty minutes later one of the scouts radioed in.

"Sir I spotted a campfire about mile from my location"

Freddie responded back. "Hold your position we will be there as soon as possible."

"Gentlemen get a move on, there are people out there that need our help."

Freddie felt ecstatic fire meant survivors, and if anyone was a survivor it was Gibby

It took them a hour to get to the source of the fire. When they got there they were shocked at what they found. Sitting next to the camp fire was Gibby, and he was gnawing on what appeared to be a arm. Next to him was a pile of bones.

When he became aware of the rescue party he stood up and dropped the arm. Gibby looked at them with a look of shame and disgust on his face.

Finally he spoke. "Before you judge me which one of you wouldn't of done the same thing. Everyone has the instinct to survive. I had to do what I had to do, I am not proud of what I have done, but at least I am alive."

Freddie looked at the man he thought he knew. "Gibby I know people do desperate things to survive, but you only crashed five hours ago!"
