Keitaro returned from his trip wherever Naru had sent him to. As usual, his skin was flawless but his heart was heavy. He finally made a decision about his life while he was riding the bus. Was it a wise choice? Who knows? But then again, there is no one at the dorm that thinks of his welfare, not even him. As he entered Hinata-Sou, Naru and Motoko passed by him. Both girls were completely silent as they left. He knows that Kitsune was at some bar, Shinobu was at her friend's house and Su was with Sarah at the tea shop. So he was alone in the dorm. As he went to his room, the first thing he saw was Mutsumi waiting for him.
"Welcome back, Kei. I'm sorry about what happened. I tried to talk to her but she was so stubborn. She kept saying it's all your fault," The Okinawan beauty said, trying to fight back the tears. But remembering that her friend was being so pig-headed, that caused her sorrow. What did she see in her as a friend? Tears came out from her eyes.
Keitaro grabbed his handkerchief from his pocket and wiped her tears, "Don't worry about it. You're all right, that's all matters," He reassured.
"No, it's not all right. I almost hurt myself today and you saved me. What did Naru do? She didn't ask what happened and just punched you, for nothing," She cried.
"I'm used to it," Keitaro stated. As he tried to speak, Mutsumi leaned in to kiss him. "What's that for?" His face blushed with embarrassment.
"I didn't give my gratitude for rescuing me," She smiled.
Keitaro was amazed. "You're welcome, Mutsumi. I'll do anything for you," He placed his hand around her waist. He looked her and their eyes locked. "Please listen to me and don't hate me for saying this."
"Alright, I'm listening."
"I'm dropping the promise. I can't keep holding on to this promise anymore. It's ruining my life." He stated.
"But what about Naru?" She asked, for the first time in her life she didn't really care about her friend.
"Right now, I'm holding the girl that I really love and care about. I really don't care what she thinks."
Mutsumi laid her head on his shoulder, her hands wrapped around his neck. "I love you, too. But what can you would do if she reacts badly?"
"I could kick her out," He chuckled.
"Only as a last resort, Kei," She laughed.
"Right now, I don't want to talk about her," As he lifted her head to kiss her, a thought came into his head. 'Besides, Mutsumi is a much better kisser than Naru.'
