Yeah, It's been a while, hasn't it? Recently, I'd been getting a lot of emails about "" adding a lot of my stories to their favourites. I decided maybe it's time to post another, after however long it's been. Sorry about that ^^"
Anyway, please review and respond. Enough feedback will encourage me to continue :)

The two of them sat opposite each other in moderate silence, observing the cool winter's night that presented itself on the other side of the glass.
The young man looked at his companion in the booth. She had ordered her usual when she visited the village; an ice coffee and an espresso, double shot. Never once did she finish either, but the blonde would never order anything else.
"How long has it been?"
Shikamaru looked back at the window. "Last winter, most likely." He smirked. "And you're still ordering those drinks."
She took a sip from her colder beverage, before removing her scarf. Unlike outside, it was toasty in the cafe.
"Because you've never changed from your cappuccino, have you, lazy ass?" Temari answered back, looking at him.
Shikamaru met her gaze. "Well, sometimes I add sugar."
Temari rolled her eyes, but smiled, taking a sip from her darker drink.
It was late, and there never was a great deal of people left inside the cafe at this time. Tonight, the only occupants were the two of them, and the staff who watched the two with silent smiles.
It was always a little awkward. Though it was only the two of them, to have others watching was never something they got used to.
One of the workers walked past them, turning on an old music player. It was a good way to liven the mood. The cafe knew the couple well.
Temari smiled. "Do you remember that time we first came in here?"
Shikamaru chuckled. "You insisted on going to the hill, despite it being the coldest day in Konoha, and me telling you it was a troublesome idea."
She took another sip. "Somehow we ended up here."
"No one else in the cafe."
"Can you blame them? The coffee was terrible."
They both looked to the counter, knowing that they were listening in.
"Was terrible. We wouldn't be coming back if it stayed the same."
The barista rolled his eyes, before going into the kitchen.
They both shared a moment to chuckle.
"Technically our first date, wasn't it?"
She drank from her espresso, savouring the warmth down her throat. "Officially, I guess it was."
They didn't talk, and let the soft jazz music play in the background.
The barista returned, a single plate with a slice of cake in his hand.
"On the house," he said, placing a fork in front of both of them.
"Man, even I have a hard time remembering," Shikamaru remarked in thanks.
She shot him a look, but realised he was playing around, and instead said thank you to the barista.
The two continued their quiet conversation, reminiscing their moments in the cafe, while sharing the cake.
Shikamaru looked out the window. It looked even colder, but at least it was quiet too.
The two of them got up, the ice coffee and espresso left unfinished.
Shikamaru walked up to the counter and paid, tipping the man. Whether it was for the cake, or for making him stay later for one couple, it wasn't entirely clear.
He bid the two of them goodnight, as they left for the cold winter night.
Though it was cold, they didn't seem to mind. Instead the two of them walked through the empty streets.
"You know, woman," he began, coming in a little closer to her. "We haven't actually said it yet."
She didn't look at him. "Because you've been too lazy to say anything."
He smirked. "Happy Anniversary, Temari."
She didn't show it, but they both knew she was smiling. Temari locked her arms around one of his and they strolled back in the position.
"Happy Anniversary, Shikamaru."
End.
