Maka's POV
Greetings, this is Maka Grigory Albarn, a normal sixteen year old girl...That's what I would said if it wasn't a complete lie. You see, I have a big secret - I know what your thinking, what kind of a secret can a boring looking, flat chested, bookworm like me have? Well I can't show you, but I can certainly tell you - that is if you can keep a secret?
Alright so as I stated in the beginning, I'm not a normal teenage girl. I'm something you read from a book or something you see in a movie. I'm something that wears the skin of a human and uses it to blend in with them. I'm a being that hides in the shadows of the night and is rumored to kill innocent people for their blood. Have you guessed what I am? If you still don't have a clue, I'll tell you, I'm a Vampire.
A thirst of blood, a set of fangs, powers, immortality, yes I have everything that fits the bill of vampire.
Though the only thing that separates me from other vampires is the fact that I'm a Royalblood. Royalbloods were the first vampires to ever exist, they are basically the ones who created other vampires, and have the power to control other non-Royalblood vampires. Because they were strong and had the ability to control other vampire, they were crowned rulers of the vampire world.
Fortunately the only living Royalbloods around are me, my Mama, and my Papa. Why is that good? Because now two different families or more wont have to fight for the throne, i'm fortunate enough to be an only child or else they're would be a power struggle between me and my sibling.
You might think its pretty cool right? Eternal life, super powers, and all the blood you can drink, yeah all of that sounds really great and everything, but the problem is... I always wanted to be human. You see, since I'm a Royalblood - one day i'm going to become a Queen and take over my Papa and Mama in the Grigory Organization, an organization where vampires, werewolves, and other creatures work together to live side by side with one another and keep our kind a secret from humans.
I'm not very fond of the idea of working with werewolves, especially after the bloody war that occurred with both of our side... and also because of a certain traumatizing experience I had with one of them.
For this reason Mama and Papa try to keep me behind the scenes when it comes to anything involves them. My parents were really understanding, but they still need me to learn of our history and the organization so I could be ready to take their place, which is why i'm stuck in our family castle 24/7, instead of going to a normal high school, and learning normal things, and having normal friends.
However, all of that is going to change for I have convinced my parents to send me to a normal academy called, Death Works Masters Academy in Death City. I'm really excited that i'm going to get a chance to act like a human being. No longer shall I stay in that dusty old castle - I will be free! Anyways, I gotta go - wish me luck :)
