The ground trembled as the earth split, fire rising through the crack. The sky burned with the heat of a thousand suns and glowed a bloody red. The air was full of poisonous debris that had already killed most everyone there was. In the middle of this all was the only survivors, two men slowly swaying to and fro in each others arms, awaiting death.
The taller of the two was a olive skinned man, no older than his early twenties with bright grass colored hair and a deep cut over his left eye dripping blood down his face. His sharp features were relaxed as his chin rested on the blond hair of the man he danced with.
The second man was a bit shorter. With hair like spun gold, he covered half his face hiding one of the precious cerulean blue eyes from view. The visible eye was overshadowed by a curling eye brow. His obviously nice suit was rumpled and creased, spattered in blood form earlier fights, although still in better condition than the clothes of the man he was dancing with.
"Hey Sanji?" Whispered the green haired one.
"Yeah Zoro?" Said the blond.
"You know, 'you are my sun shine.'" Zoro said, mouth forming a wobbly smile.
"What?" Sanji said laughing brokenly.
'"My only sun shine.'" He said, his voice cracking as he tried to sing around his tears.
Sanji tried to laugh again, but it came out hollow and only a shadow of laughter from previous times.
"'You make me happy,'" he sang to Zoro, hiding his face in the dark green robe.
'"When the sky's are gray."' He cooed.
Slowly Sanji's head sank more into Zoro's chest, his breath becoming labored.
'"You'll never know, dear,'" Sanji sang in a strangled voice as Zoro lowered them both to the ground.
'"How much I need you'", Zoro sang. They were now laying on the dark sooty earth, blood still dripping from Zoro's eye.
'"Please,"' Sanji paused to cough up some blood, "'don't take...'" He stopped and stared at Zoro, unable to continue as be chocked and hacked. His body then went limp and didn't move.
'"Don't take my sunshine... A-away.'" Zoro leaned forward, pressing his lips to Sanji's in a chaste last kiss. The tears ran scalding tracks down his cheeks, but he didn't try to wipe them away. Pulling the body of his lover close he wrapped it in his arms and nuzzled the crown of his head.
'"Please don't take my sunshine away..."'
As his body finally succumbed to the poison he closed his eyes and waited to join his lover.
