A Waffle Moment
Author's Note: Hiro/Ando drabble. I thought of this when my sister began talking about a waffles scene in one of her stories. So...yeah. Enjoy. Slightly based on the almost-fact that there might not be any places that sell waffles where I live.
Disclaimer: I do not own Heroes

Hiro gazed at the menu and then turned to Ando. "Not here," he said, pouting.
Ando sighed and rubbed his forehead. He smiled at the girl behind the counter tiredly. "Sorry about this," he said, turning around and dragging Hiro from the cafe.
They walked down the street a bit, coming to another cafe only a few minutes later. They entered and Hiro again perused the menu above the counter. He shook his head. Nope, not here either.
Again they left and walked a bit. Again they came to another cafe. Again 'it' wasn't there.
In total they visited 150 cafes, 35 bars and 6 diners. None of them had 'it.'
Finally, after they'd searched every cafe, bar and diner in a 500 mile radius, Ando turned to his obsessed friend and said, "We'll just have to make our own, then."
Hiro looked horrified but tried to hide it so as not to offend him.
They returned to their hotel room, complete with kitchen where Ando commenced cooking 'it.'
Hiro waited with bated breath.
He was served 'it.' Now it was Ando's turn to wait with bated breath.
Hiro glanced up from his meal. He had what looked like tears in his eyes. Ando held his breath. Was 'it' that bad?
"Ando," he said and the tears were palpable in his tone. "You're the best friend in the whole entire world."
Ando gave a huge sigh of relief. He'd been practising for months now, waiting in complete terror for Hiro to ask for 'it.' And it looked like that practice had paid off.
Who knew waffles could bring such terror and delight to his life?

Now you could take the whole 'delight' thing to mean that Hiro thanked him for the waffles afterwards in a...delightful way. Or you could not. Whatever.
