Author's Note: It's been a while since I've posted anything on , honestly I feel my writing is rusty as it's been quite some time since I've written anything but something about Wynonna Earp struck a chord and I've found some form of inspiration to write again. This is probably a form of drabble, and whilst I'm relatively happy with it I know it could use some finer tweaking but I'm going to bite the bullet here and post it up.

I don't own anything related to Wynonna Earp, I'm just borrowing the characters for a short while. Also, thoughts in italics.

"I love her."

Those words spoken barely above a whisper towards her sister had me staring at her for a moment before my attention turned to her other elder sister; the one currently pointing a gun at me and threatening to shoot if she didn't get Peacemaker.

The minutes seemed to drag out for hours and Nicole was regretting charging in without her gun; the belt hanging in her hand as she stared down Willa; her gaze shifting between Willa, Wynonna and Waverly.

Nicole let out a slow breath when Wynonna agreed to give up Peacemaker; whilst telling Willa that she was coming for her and for a moment she believed that things were actually going to be okay until Willa shot; and the next thing she remembers is being rolled over by Waverly as she struggles for breath.

It hurts; but Nicole is fortunate to have worn a bullet proof vest as Purgatory is currently in the midst of a 404 so aside from the wind being knocked out of her and the bruise she's likely to have she is going to be okay as she stares up at Waverly and Wynonna smiling,

"Bulletproof vest, mandatory when we have a 404 or a bunch of crazy hicks off their rockers." she manages still struggling to catch her breath before it's taken away by Waverly as she kisses her and Wynonna tells her she picked a smart one.

Soon she's left alone to her thoughts once more as Waverly and Wynonna head out to stop Willa, slowly Nicole pushes up from the floor, staggering to the nearest chair she sits down and attempts to get her breathing back under control.
