WHAT IF
It was the night when Jonas was supposes to leave to visit the Giver, but his mind was running along the same course again and again. Should he take the new child Gabriel and get away with his life safely? Or should he take the child and run to the giver (Jonas never thought of running to Elsewhere without the Giver's last memories). He decided to take the child, even if it meant his own life, he placed his hand firmly onto gabs back and gave him the most soothing memory that he could think of, It was of a hammock between two balms at the beach, gently sway back and forth. HE then quickly took his fathers bike because it had a child's seat in the back (like in the text), strapped his precious parcel into the seat and they were off. As they rode the wind ran up against his clammy face and it felt wonderful. In the star lit night he could see the ever so white of the moon gleaming upon the colorless streets of the Community. The Annex was right before him when he heard the sound. But what was it? Could it be human or was it ohh what are they called... animals?
